This connection makes it possible for installers & building managers to monitor boiler operation, plant temperatures,vent temperatures, system pressure, flow rates & pump operation using the BAS system interface. When no BAS connection is required, remote monitoring can be provided through tekmarNet® Gateways.
The 284 is designed to prolong the lifespan of the equipment. Primary pump sequencing prevents downtime by automatically operating a second pump if a failure is detected. Other reliability features include pump exercising, equal run-time rotation, and boiler minimum & maximum temperature settings.To obtain maximum efficiency, the 284 adjusts plant sequencing based on target temperatures. This target is calculated using outdoor temperature reset or a fixed setpoint for space or process heating applications. The 284's automatic boiler differential, primary pump sequencing, domestic hot water priority, setpoint operation & combustion air damper control all work together to maximize energy savings & system reliability.
